Why Take This Course?
The goal of the Pregnancy Loss Education Course is to help you develop the skills needed to:
Provide compassionate and non-judgmental support to families in their most vulnerable moments.
Navigate the complexities of perinatal loss with empathy, understanding, and professionalism.
Communicate effectively with grieving parents and help them through the emotional, medical, and procedural decisions following a loss.
Empower families to honor their baby and begin their healing journey.
This course aims to create a standard of bereavement care across settings, ensuring that families receive the highest level of support, no matter where they are.
This course was designed specifically for YOU! We need more caring humans, especially perinatal professionals, knowledgeable in supporting moms/parents who go through the devastating experience of pregnancy loss.
4 months after I took my Postpartum Doula training, I gave birth to my daughter Evelyn, who was stillborn at 40 weeks and 5 days. My experience made me realize that there isn’t a Perinatal Bereavement Standard all around, some people knew what to do, but others had no clue. Being in this space and not knowing how to provide compassionate care or how to support these moms and families is a failure. (I'm talking about the healthcare industry as a whole, not any one healthcare specifically.) The midwives and nurses who did have experience and knew exactly what to do and how to support me were the ones who saved me. I wouldn't have made it through this horrid day without them. They were truly my angels that day, along with my Doula, Kendra. They were meant to be in my life. My goal for you is to go into any birth, postpartum, or situation with the ability to confidently and compassionately handle anything that comes your way when serving these families that may be outside the norm for you, including loss.
